Expand High Fidelity PCR System, dNTPack
The Expand High Fidelity PCR System is an enzyme blend containing Taq DNA Polymerase and a polymerase with proofreading activity. Expand High Fidelity PCR System delivers superior results with two-fold higher yield and three-fold greater fidelity compared to Taq DNA Polymerase.


Expand High FidelityPLUS PCR System, dNTPack
Expand High FidelityPLUS PCR System is a next-generation blend consisting of Taq DNA Polymerase and a novel proofreading protein, isolated and characterized by Roche Applied Science. This protein mediates proofreading activity but has no polymerase activity itself.

FastStart Taq DNA Polymerase, dNTPack
FastStart Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable, chemically modified form of recombinant Taq DNA Polymerase. This enzyme delivers superior results thanks to its unique enzyme design and optimized buffer system. FastStart Taq DNA Polymerase is inactive at temperatures below 75°C, but is activated by a 2- to 4-minute incubation step at 95°C.


GC-RICH PCR System, dNTPack
The GC-RICH PCR System, a blend of Taq DNA Polymerase and a proofreading polymerase, powers through templates that are difficult or impossible to amplify with other polymerases and other blends of polymerases. Pwo SuperYield DNA Polymerase is ideal for high-fidelity amplification of DNA up to 3 kb. Pwo SuperYield DNA Polymerase combines the recombinant enzyme Pwo DNA Polymerase with a newly optimized buffer system. This new buffer system enhances the enzymatic properties of the polymerase, resulting in higher yields of the amplification reaction with 18-fold increased fidelity compared to Taq DNA Polymerase.

Taq DNA Polymerase is the recombinant form of the enzyme from the thermophilic eubacterium Thermus aquaticus BM, expressed in E. coli. The enzyme is highly purified and is free of nonspecific endo- and exonucleases. Taq DNA Polymerase consists of a single polypeptide chain with a molecular weight of approximately 95 kD. It is a highly processive 5'-3' DNA polymerase that lacks 3'-5' exonuclease activity.

Even if Taq DNA Polymerase were able to amplify fragments of comparable lengths, Expand Long Template PCR System would deliver twice the fidelity and much higher yields.
