The High Pure FFPET DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the isolation and purification of genomic DNA from 5 to 10 μm thick sections from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. The isolated DNA is suitable for qPCR, microarray analysis (e.g., CGH or methylation arrays), and sequencing.

The deparaffinized tissue is lysed with a special lysis buffer and incubated with Proteinase K. In the presence of chaotropic salts, the DNA is specifically bound to the glass fiber of the High Pure Filter Tube and purified in a series of rapid wash-and- spin steps and then eluated from the column.
