Universal ProbeLibrary
Based on only 165 short hydrolysis probes substituted with Locked Nucleic Acids, Universal ProbeLibrary (UPL) allows you to design real-time qPCR assays in seconds and analyze over five million transcripts of virtually any sequenced organism. The easy-to-use ProbeFinder Assay Design Software displays the target-specific primer sequences (ready for ordering at your preferred oligo supplier) and the matching Universal ProbeLibrary probe.
Universal ProbeLibrary assays are compatible with all real-time PCR instruments capable of detecting fluorescein, FITC, FAM, and/or SYBR Green I, and follow standard cycling protocols for hydrolysis probe assays.

Universal ProbeLibrary Set, Human with Probes #1 to #90
for human RT-qPCR assays
Universal ProbeLibrary Extension Set, Probes #91 - #165
for use in combination with Universal ProbeLibrary Set, Human for all other organisms
Quickly design UPL assays for virtually any sequenced organism using the proprietary ProbeFinder Software, a free web-based tool based on the Primer3 software. User-defined target information is used to select a suitable UPL probe in combination with a set of matching target-specific PCR primers.
ProbeFinder Software is available at the Assay Design Center.
Click here for a detailed ProbeFinder Software Description.
Universal ProbeLibrary Reference Gene Assays provide a specifically designed 12-mer UPL probe and the corresponding primer pair for a given housekeeping gene. Each UPL Reference Gene probe is labeled with LightCycler® Yellow 555 at the 5´ end and with a quencher dye near the 3´ end, enabling dual-color assays when used with the regular UPL probes (labeled with FAM).
For dual-color assays, select the Multiplex Option in the Assay Design Center.
