Agarose MS is particularly well suited for separation of small DNA fragments (50 bp – 1500 bp). It can be used for such applications as:

• separating PCR products
• genotyping
• sizing alleles
• analyzing short tandem repeats

Note: Agarose MS can discriminate between DNA fragments that differ by only four base pairs.

Absence of DNase: none detected
Absence of RNase: none detected

High-strength gels made with agarose MS are easy to handle and resist cracking.

For efficient resolution of bands, the concentration of agarose MS may be adjusted to accommodate the specific size range of fragments analyzed, as well as the electrophoresis buffer used (i.e., TEA or TBE buffer).
