Agarose LE is suitable for routine analytical and preparative gel electrophoresis of nucleic acids. Specific applications include, for example:

• analysis of PCR products
• examination of restriction endonuclease digests from plasmid, cosmid and l-phage DNA
• separation of RNA

 Electroendosmosis (- m_r):  0.05 – 0.13
 Sulfur content (as sulfate):  ≤0.14%
 Gel strength (1% agarose):  ≥1200 g/cm²
 Gel strength (1.5% agarose):  ≥2500 g/cm²
 Gelling temp (1.5% agarose): 36°C (±1.5°C)
 Melting temp (1.5% agarose): 88°C (±1.5°C)

Absence of DNase: none detected
Absence of RNase: none detected

By varying the concentration of agarose LE in the gel, you can separate nucleic acids that are as small as 0.2 kbp and as large as 15 kbp. 

Nucleic acids separated with agarose LE are suitable for molecular biological applications such as blotting (up to 5 kb fragments) or enzymatic manipulations.
