Use the RealTime ready ABC Transporter Panel to quantify the expression levels of 42 genes of the human ABC transporter superfamily. This gene expression profiling panel can be assayed directly on a LightCycler^® 480 Instrument.

The panel consists of 42 pretested, ready-to-use qPCR assays supplied in a LightCycler^® 480 Multiwell Plate 96 or 384, white. Each assay includes the appropriate primers and a Universal ProbeLibrary probe that contains Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA). The only components that need to be added are sample cDNA and reaction mix (e.g., LightCycler^® 480 Probes Master).
The panel also contains seven human reference gene assays (ACTB, β2M, GAPDH, HPRT1, RPL13A, 18S, and YWHAZ), which enable relative quantification of the ABC transporter genes. In addition the  panel provides three positive- and two negative control assays for the reverse transcription (RT) reaction. The RT positive control is used to determine if degradation of your initial RNA sample has occurred and to assess the quality of your RT step. The RT negative control is used to detect residual genomic DNA.

The ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family comprises membrane-bound proteins that actively transport a variety of substrates (including metabolic products, lipids and sterols, ions, small molecules, and drugs) across intra- and extracellular membranes. Cancer cell lines and multidrug-resistant tumors are often found to over-express certain ABC transporters. In addition, ABC transporters have been found to be involved in bacterial multidrug resistance, cystic fibrosis, and other inherited human diseases.

One package containing either two LightCycler^® 480 Multiwell Plates 96 or 384 and Sealing Foils. Each 96-well panel contains   assays for the 42 members of the ABC transporter familyin duplicate and in addition seven housekeeping genes, as well as five controls. Each 384-well panel provides the same content as the 96-well panel in quadruplicate.
